ABOUT WOLFEGANG

Wolfegang is the "nom d'art" signature on a growing gallery of homoerotic sketches and paintings created by an artist currently residing in Palm Springs, California. When Wolfegang retired, he left behind two trans-Atlantic careers that often overlapped.

American-born, he was a highly successful fashion illustrator based in London, England during the Swinging '60s and the Sensuous '70s. His leggy, All-American Girl images appeared in British "Vogue," "The London Sunday Times" and many advertising campaigns for designers, retailers, newspapers and magazines. For more than a decade, he edited several glossy Asian fashion tomes including "Couture," "Men Mode" and "Image." As an important editor and artist, Wolfegang covered the seasonal collections in Paris, Milan, London and New York with occasional trips to Los Angeles, Tokyo, South Africa and India.

As a fashion industry insider, Wolfegang became an acute trend-spotter and that opened the door for a second career as a fashion forecaster. As Creative Director for several trend consultancies, first in London and then in New York, in the '90s he became "the most quoted authority in fashion." Wolfegang also continued to express his creativity by joining the weekly gay men's life drawing sessions located in New York's Soho art district.

Now living in Palm Springs, Wolfegang produces homoerotic sketches and paintings while enjoying life with his husband.
